Responsibilities include:

• Be the link between the deaf community in Northern Ireland and HSCNI/ Sign Language Interactions (InterpreterNow).
• Providing information and support in installing the InterpreterNow app on mobile devices
• Providing presentations to existing and potential users
• Assist service providers in making their services accessible to BSL users
• Collect feedback from the deaf community on the HSCNI VRS/VRI services
• Represent Sign Language Interactions/InterpreterNow at appropriate meetings and community events
• Contacting and providing information/workshops to local deaf communities/organisations on the use of
InterpreterNow app o how to use HSCNI VRS/VRI service.
• Work closely with HSCNI being the voice of the Deaf community in NI
• Provide accessible information to assist with the use and development of the service

The InterpreterNow HSC Northern Ireland remote interpreting service is backed by a very experienced and talented team of professional BSL & ISL interpreters.

The service is available 24/7 however, there will always be a Northern Irish BSL Interpreter available between 9.00 am – 6.00 pm (Monday – Friday). Out with these times, calls will be covered by our national UK team. ISL interpreter provision is available 24/7.
